Hugs in a Bag

hugs in a bag

Last Sunday, a 56er boy dug into his wallet and pulled out one, then another and another….. ten dollar bill, pausing after each one before continuing. He gave every last one in his wallet.  It was money he had been given for Christmas!  Another leader and I stood amazed, so proud of the way he unselfishly gave ALL, in order to help someone in need in Red Deer.  This boy’s dad has not been working (other than a few weeks) since August, so the family has no income, yet he chose to share what he had.  Parents, grandparents, you are doing a great job inspiring your children to be generous givers and we thank you.  “Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me – you did it to me” Matthew 25:40 (The Message)
