Get Connected…. Empowered to Connect April 8 & 9th

2016 ETC Conference ScreenWe have the awesome privilege to have the Empowered to Connect Simulcast again this April at CrossRoads Church!  Dr. Karyn Purvis along with Michael and Amy Monroe provide online resources and parent training that is designed specifically for adoptive and foster parents.

Karla R. has this to say….

The Empowered to Connect Conference was a local opportunity that gave me more insight and tools than I could have imagined.

Our youngest comes from a “hard place”. We adopted him at 15 months of age and learning about early brain development from the conference gave me insight about what he missed out on and what he needed most

I learned how to nurture him how he needed to be nurtured. I walked away learning about what he may experience in the future as well and I feel better equipped to handle and react to up and coming behaviours and emotions.

The techniques and gained resources from experts in this field gave me a welcomed confidence as a parent.

The real-life examples shown were proof that this “stuff” works and that peaceful, educated way of parenting was what desired. It has helped me understand my adoptee and I parent my biological children with much of the same knowledge I have gained.

I cannot say enough about the Empowered to Connect conference. I encourage everyone whom has children in their lives they care about to attend. 💜

You are welcome to join us in the Theatre Room here at CrossRoads Church on April 8th & 9th / 9:30 am  – 6:00 pm. Coffee and snacks will be provided, however, lunch will not be. (Bring your own or go offsite.)
